About the Founder
Corlis J. Chang is the founder and owner of the Law Offices of Corlis J. Chang, LLC. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Corlis attended Harvard University where she graduated magna cum laude in 1979. She went on to Northwestern University School of Law where she graduated in 1982 after serving on the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. After 5 years of litigation practice with a large Los Angeles law firm, she returned to Honolulu in 1987 where she spent 30 years as a litigator in one of the most well-established law firms in Honolulu.
Her 36 years representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of litigation has given her an uncommon depth of understanding and experience. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers, Superlawyers and Chambers USA. She has served on the Hawaii Supreme Court Disciplinary Board for Attorney Discipline, as a member of the Pacific Century Fellows, as a Board Member for Sacred Hearts Academy and the Arcadia Family of Companies, and is President of Distinguished Young Women of Hawaii. Her commitment to community service reflects her philosophy of service to her clients -- to be responsive to client needs, to work diligently to provide cost-effective, professional representation for her clients, and to do so with the utmost respect for all. |
